Little Sisters of the Pearls and Rubies -
In the late 1960s and early 1970s, many Farmhouse chapters organized “Sister” groups as an auxiliary to chapter programs and activities. In 2006, Little Sisters of the Pearls and Rubies became an independent organization on Mizzou’s campus, functioning solely as a service sorority to promote academic and social interaction among its members.
We participate in community betterment projects and volunteer programs, and provide a means for increased awareness of problems facing campuses today.
This organization also has its own philanthropy — an event, which benefits The Dream Factory. Little Sisters also volunteers for Relay for Life, Susan G. Komen, the Humane Society, and other organizations.
Each year the organization organizes a 5K and Pub Crawl in Columbia, Missouri with all proceeds benefitting the groups main philanthropy, the Dream Factory of Central Missouri.
The Dream Factory helps grant "dreams" to chronic and critically ill children, with each chapter working as an all-volunteer endeavor to raise funds to send local children on a trip of a lifetime. LSPR enjoys serving this wonderful organization and we hope you will lend a hand in helping grant a child's dream!
